Developing rats were exposed to 2.45 GHz microwaves (2 hrs per day for 35 days at 0.334 mW/cm2).

A 1.5 fold increase in brain ODC was observed in the exposed group compared to control. An increase in calcium efflux was also observed in forebrain tissue after chronic microwave exposure.
